How to Find Your IESCO Reference Number & Customer ID

Last updated: August 8, 2026

To check, view, or download your IESCO duplicate bill online, you need either your 14-digit Reference Number or your 10-digit Customer ID. This guide explains where to locate both identifiers on your physical electricity bill stub and how to recover them if your printed bill is lost.

Definition: Reference Number

14-Digit Reference Number: A unique numerical code assigned to your physical electricity connection. It encodes your local sub-division code, category (residential/commercial), and meter sequence (e.g., 04 12345 6789012 U).

Definition: Customer ID

10-Digit Customer ID: A permanent account number stored in PITC's centralized database (e.g., 1234567890), linking your consumer profile to billing records.

Locating Your 14-Digit Reference Number

Look at the top-left section of any previous physical IESCO bill stub under the main header. The Reference Number consists of 14 numerical digits. Please note:

  • Enter only the 14 numerical digits into our online search tool.
  • Do not include spaces, hyphens, or trailing alphabet letters (such as "U" for Urban or "R" for Rural).

Locating Your 10-Digit Customer ID

Your Customer ID is located on the top right-hand section of your bill header. It is a 10-digit numeric code that serves as your permanent account key across PITC billing systems.

What If You Lost Both Numbers?

If you do not have access to any physical bill stub:

  1. Check Mobile Banking / Wallet History: Open JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or your bank app (HBL, Meezan, UBL) and review transaction history for past electricity bill payments. The 14-digit reference number will be saved in your transaction receipt details.
  2. Check Meter Serial Number: Take a photo of the physical meter plate display on your outer electricity meter box and visit your local IESCO Sub-Divisional Office. The revenue officer can search account records using your meter serial number.
  3. Contact IESCO Helpline: Call 118 or 051-9252937 with your registered CNIC and address details.
